la Carta de Venecia”, sólo aparece en el Anexo
8 de la Carta, aunque el art. 14 indica que
“los trabajos –en sitios- deben inspirarse en
los principios precedentes”. De los cuatro
tipos de intervención citados en la Carta, el
más complejo y de mayor interés para las
ciudades históricas es el de la integración
de elementos nuevos, no sólo en su aspecto
formal o compositivo. Se ha logrado poco
y sabemos que lo construido expresa otros
contenidos. Hay conciencia del problema en
una minoría, está presente o puede estarlo
en la mayoría de población. Por ello se debe
mantener la legislación para impulsar el
inventario del patrimonio cultural, fortalecer
la educación de niños y jóvenes frente al
consumo y la masificación, así como estimular
los apoyos financieros para rehabilitar el
patrimonio urbano.

principles.” Of the four types of interventions
mentioned in the Letter, the most complex and of
most interest to historic cities is the integration of
new elements, not only in their formal or compositive
aspect. Little has been achieved and we know
that what has been built expresses other contents.
Only a minority is aware of the problem, but most
of the population, but it is present or can be in
most of the population. This is why the legislation
must be maintained to promote the inventory of
cultural patrimony, to strengthen the education
of children and youths against consumerism and
massification, as well as stimulating the financial
support to rehabilitate urban patrimony.
